School Uniform

On this page you will find a list of items that your child may need while at Thorntree, along with a link to order and pay for any uniform that you wish to purchase.

All children of statutory school age at Thorntree are required to wear the school’s uniform. Nursery children may wear uniform if parents wish their child to do so.

Our school uniform consists of:

  • Red sweatshirts and cardigans with or without the school logo               Thorntree polo shirt and sweatshirt
  • Red polo shirts with or without the school logo
  • Plain black or grey trousers or shorts, skirts or pinafore dresses. (Jogging bottoms or track suit trousers are acceptable providing they are completely plain)
  • Red checked summer dresses (optional).
  • Shoes should be black and suitable for walking and running (No sandals or high heeled shoes or boots)
  • Socks (above the ankle) or plain tights must be worn

Should you choose to purchase polo shirts and sweatshirts with the school logo then these can be bought through the school. Please log on to your online account and visit the school shop.

Log into your child's account (ask office to resend password if needed). Go to 'School Shop', add required items to your basket and pay. The office will pack your items and send home with your child the following day.

Non-logo items can be purchased anywhere but you must buy the required colours.

School uniform grants are available for families on certain types of income support. These grants are only available for children entering the Reception class and again on entry to Year 3. If you are entitled to a grant you need to fill in an application form online with Greenwich Council. The link is below:

Our P.E uniform consists of:

  • black or navy shorts
  • a plain white t-shirt
  • plimsolls or trainers
  • plain black or grey joggers or track suit trousers and sweatshirts may be worn for out-door P.E. in cold weather

This also applies to all extra curricular sporting activities and clubs.

Earrings, if worn, MUST be small studs. These need not be removed for P.E. although we recommend that on P.E. days they are left at home. Children will be told to remove any earring that is not a stud as these can be hazardous.
Excessive hair gel/hair dye is not permitted.

All uniform MUST be marked clearly with your child's name.
