Sport Premium and P.E.

What is the PE and School Sport Premium?

The Government has made available to all schools a sum of money to allow them to continue to develop sports provision within school and to help schools increase pupil participation in sporting activity. This money equates to £8000 per school per year plus an additional £5 per child. For the academic year 2019/20 this amounts to £10,372.

At Thorntree we use the Sports Premium in a variety of manners to improve our sports provision. Depending on current needs, this may include: specialist sports or dance teachers; swimming & cricket lessons; sports equipment; sports club subsidies; costs of joining in with local competitions and events; staff CPD training in this area.

All after school clubs are offered to PP children at a reduced price.

KS1 & 2 Street Dance, KS1 & 2 Football, All Kids Can club, KS1& 2 Gymnastics club and Netball club.
